Managed Hosting is an additional service offered for business customers with dedicates servers who do not have own IT department or would otherwise like to outsource some of the IT department functions managing dedicated server to our staff. 

There are several parts in the management of dedicated servers and we have developed unique services for each of the crucial parts  - security, monitoring and administration with several levels of services for each part. In addition we also offer convenient packages  with several services put together that provide you with great solutions at discounts prices. Managed Security Services

Security for the web business is very crucial especially considering latest trends with bugs being found in operating systems and these bugs being used by new viruses and hackers. And if server is down due to virus or hacker, it would take several hours or more to cleanup, may require complete reinstall of the operating system and would definitely cause loss of business during that time. We strongly recommend you purchase security level 1 managed service or at least purchase antivirus software for NT servers. 

Managed Security Level 1 service - $50/mo:

Managed Security Level 2 service - $150/mo:

Even if you do not purchase security service, we to monitor for any suspicious activity from your server or strange increase of traffic from the server and with any new bugs found, our support staff sends emails informing your system administrators where latest patches are to be found. Because we deal with web security issues all the time we can offer you free service and advice on how to deal with these bugs and it is recommended you outsource this service.

Application Monitoring Services

Application monitoring is very important especially under high load as even if the server is up, the actual programs running on it such as IIS or Apache web server or database is what keeps your business up and even minutes of downtime may cost your company a money. We provide tools for you to be able to monitor the server and services running through our web based monitoring system and in cases of problems, it is expected that your system administrators will login into the server and be able to fix the problems, restart the application or entire server. If you do not have administrators available 24/7 to fix the problems, you may outsource this to our staff and we'll work to make sure your server and everything there is running every day, every hour, every minute. The following monitoring services are available:

Monitoring and Pager Notification System - $25/mo
    Allows you to use our monitoring system and setup services to be monitored with immediate email or pager notification in case of problems. Cost: $25/mo and we often provide this service free for first 3 months with some servers.

Automated Reboot and Notification System - $50/mo
    In addition to setup of monitoring, our system will also try to reboot any service that has gone down, this works fairly well for dns server, web server, mail server. In case reboot does not occur, your system administrators will receive higher level notice and will need to login and deal with the problem. In case the server itself is down, our system will also reboot it as well. In addition on daily basis email is sent notifying of how much hard drive space is used so that in case of low space you had sufficient time to deal with it. 

Managed Web and Mail Server Monitoring  - $150/mo
    With this service our support staff is immediately notified if your Apache or IIS web server or the mail server is down and will reboot it as necessary or deal with any problems. This is more secure then automated systems above as in some cases, the webserver or mail is not dead but maybe experiencing heavy load or maybe under attack or mail spool or web temporary folders maybe full and these and many other problems require human intervention by system administrators to get the service up and running properly. 

Full Managed Server Monitoring Level 1  - $250/mo
    With this service we monitor not only web server but also database server and also monitor components of your web server, such as  PHP or ASP code to make sure your application is working (special html web page is setup that does quick access to database through type of interface you are using, i.e. php, asp, java servlet, etc), in cases of problems our administrators get immediate notification. With this service level we can also setup to monitor multiple websites/domains on your server.

Full Managed Server Monitoring Level 2 - $400/mo
    In addition to level1 monitoring service, automated monitoring of application is now done every 1/2 minute (instead of every 5 minutes as in level1) and in addition every hour our staff also logs in to your system (usually by using sample/test account) and test its functions. In addition every night our system administrators perform high-use tests to make sure system is capable of handling higher traffic than what is expected the next day. Special program is also installed on the system to generate statistics with 5 minute sample of system resource use and the results are evaluated daily and you are notified well in advance if upgrades are necessary.

Server Administration and Management Services

Each company has an expertise in its area of business and we understand that very well and that is the main point in managed hosting service. While we provide you with technical expertise and help you setup websites and all applications on your server, you can focus on selling and marketing your products and services and providing best service for your clients without having to learn great deal about website and general server management. 

Even with out basic dedicated server options we offer control panel or other means to help you setup new web sites and configure DNS and mail server but in many cases in order to get your application running a great deal more of technical details are necessary and that is where our server management service come in. But as every client's needs are different it is difficult to estimate exactly how much help would be needed in each particular case. That is why server management service options are defined based on how much time our system administrators help you on average per month. Below are several options we offer: 

Basic Server Management Service - $200/mo 

This level of service is designed as a supplement to your own system administrators  when more advanced skills are necessary. While you are expected to setup accounts and websites yourself, you can count on our help for any problems any time and can ask our system administrators to setup a service you may have a problem with. In general this service is equivalent to 2 hours of direct help or work by our system administrators per month. Additional help can be bought at discounted rate of $120 per hour (our standard rate is $150 per hour).

Advanced Server  Management Service - $400/mo

This service is often ordered when about 1/2 of the setup and management is expected to be performed by our staff. This may involve management of high level database server (such as oracle) while your staff would continue to manage more basic functions such as adding new accounts or mail server management. This level of service is equivalent to about 6 hours of work per month by our staff with additional help available  at discounted rate of $100 per hour. 

Premier Server  Management Service - $600/mo

With this service it is expected that our staff will perform majority of setup and management of the server, including setting up new accounts, new websites, setting and applications and other work necessary on the server. This level of service is equivalent to about 10 hours of work per month with additional service work billed at $80 per hour. 

Managed Server Service Packages

Many managed service options described above are often ordered together and we have conveniently created several packages with up to 30% discounts on services.

Basic Security and Monitoring Package  - $75/mo:
This is not as much managed server package as it is help from our staff to insure your server is up as much as possible. This package consists of the following services with total discount of 25% and additional discount on hourly work if you do require help from our administrators.

Advanced Security and Monitoring Package  - $300/mo:
Another package primarily designed for companies that want to insure maximum availability of the server and to provide advanced notification of any possible problems. This service is ordered even with companies with large IT department that can work on the server setup and management but may not have the resources necessary to monitor the server continuously.  This package consists of the following services with total discount of 30% and additional discount on hourly work if you do require help from our administrators.

Basic Managed Server Package  - $300/mo:
This is a combination of basic server administration service with more advanced levels of monitoring of applications on the server directly by our staff. This is a powerful package for companies that do not have techs working full time and require from us. This is currently the most often ordered managed server package and we provides you a discount of 30% for ordering these services together:

Advanced Managed Server Package  - $600/mo:
This is designed for companies that want to primarily outsource server management infrastructure with only some simple tasks performed by you directly.

Complete Managed Server Package  - $900/mo:
This is a complete server management solution for companies that want to fully outsource technical aspects of configuring and managing server to us and with this company with no technical skills available in the internet can offer as much service to your customers as other companies with entire department fully dedicated to servicing web customers.
